MoVa unveils Temeraire, a womenswear collection inspired by the vision and philosophy of J.M.W. Turner – an artist renowned for his luminous treatment of light, his reverence for nature’s force, and his deeply emotional landscapes where humans and machines dissolve into storm, sea, and sky. This collection translates Turner’s haunting beauty into wearable form, staying true to MoVa’s essence: timeless elegance and refined garments made to move through cycles of use, care, and rediscovery.
Inspired by J.M.W. Turner’s masterwork – "The Fighting Temeraire" – where light dissolves form and nature commands the composition. A collection built on the tension between structure and fluidity.

The collection consists of nine pieces. Each garment carries a trace of Turner’s world – through form, manipulation, or material. The Sublime Coat and Skirt are adorned with golden, irregularly shaped seashell hardware. These elements also nod to his marine works, as the coastline shape mirrors those of seashells – nature’s own remnants.
Central to the collection is the Aquarelle series: a moiré fabric corset, blazer, and skirt that ripple with movement, much like Turner’s painted water. The corset’s stiffness contrasts deliberately with the flowing draped layers of the Snowdown Shirt and Dress, which sit beneath it in airy pools, creating a tension that reflects Turner’s recurring theme of natural softness meeting industrial form.
Echoing details – the voluminous sleeve endings, the folds on trouser hems and pocket flaps – appear on the Coat and Blazer, reinforcing the sculptural elegance of Temeraire.
Throughout, matte and glossy surfaces play together, creating shifting impressions under light – just as Turner did with pigment and brushstroke.
Designed with MoVa’s circular model in mind, Temeraire invites its wearers to experience fashion as a living, evolving process. Through a membership-based system of renting and rotation, each piece enters a life beyond seasons – becoming part of a personal and collective wardrobe, where elegance is not just seen, but sustained. In its essence, the collection offers more than garments – it proposes a reflection. A call to embrace beauty not just in appearance, but in philosophy. To wear pieces that carry light, memory, and meaning.
